ilike organic skin care Ichthammol & Herbs Mask Review

History of ilike organic skin care

Before I go into the details of the ilike organic skin care Ichthammol & Herbs mask, I want to provide some history about the brand. The story of Ilcsi Beautifying Herbs started in 1958, with Aunt Ilcsi. She was devoted to using natural ingredients in her career as a beautician. She founded the company with her son, Ferenc Molnár. Ilcsi products are always made of fresh, certified organic herbs, fruits and vegetables. Animal tests are never used when developing their products.

Eminence Organic Skin Care Ltd. (Vancouver, Canada) was hired to be a distributor of Ilcsi products in the U.S. and Canada. They used the brand name Eminence from 2002 until March 31st, 2005 while they were distributing the Ilcsi products to those territories. However, this distributional contract ended on March 31, 2005. After the contract was terminated, the Ilcsi Beautifying Herbs Hungary company has not supplied any of their products to Eminence Organic Skin Care Ltd. The current Eminence products are no longer associated in any way with Aunt Ilcsi Molnár or her family-owned company. The whole story can be found here.

This was a shock to me because I was using Eminence Organic Skin Care products for years based on the advertising of their products as being organic. I was genuinely caught off guard to find out that perhaps the products that I’ve been using may not contain organic or natural ingredients. Therefore, be aware that the product branding of Eminence Organic Skin Care Ltd. still indicates that the company has been creating their products since 1958. In addition, the products are still advertised as being made in Hungary when in fact they may no longer be made in Hungary. The fact that there are a lot of holes in the Eminence Organic Skin Care manufacturing process leads me to be very reluctant to repurchase any of their products. If there is so much deception in the marketing of their products, perhaps there is more deception in the creation of their products.

Eminence Organic Skin Care trademarked the word “Ilcsi”. As a result, Aunt Ilcsi’s products cannot be marketed using that name in the U.S. or in Canada. Therefore, any of the Ilcsi products sold in U.S. or Canada are marketed under the ilike organic skin care brand. The ilike organic skin care products are the same as Ilcsi products and not associated in any way with Eminence Organic Skin Care.

Tips on Using the Mask

This product is great for normal/combination skin, oily skin (like myself), sensitive skin, and acne-prone skin. It helps to remove excessive oils from the skin, deep cleans pores, and leaves your skin feeling fresh. It can be used 1-2 times a week as a face and neck mask or as a spot treatment. It’s better to gently exfoliate your skin before applying the mask to increase the effect of the mask.

What I Think ABOUT THE ilike organic skin care Ichthammol & Herbs Mask

This mask is really great and effective. It goes on smooth and isn’t overly drying. My skin is super sensitive and the mask didn’t irritate my skin even though I kept it on a little bit longer than the directions recommended (the mask is recommended to be left on skin for 15-20 minutes). I tend to leave masks on a little bit longer than I should. I guess I’m just a rebel. 😉 The mask also has a slight warming sensation when applying it to the skin, but it doesn’t last a long time. I have to also mention that this mask has a strong botanical scent especially from the clove oil, but I didn’t mind the smell because it did smell full of natural ingredients. It’s best to try a small amount to test your skin and to see if you are sensitive to the scent. Overall, I really like the mask and my skin looks so much better afterwards. I’m glad you liked the post! I don’t want others to spend their money on products that may not be as natural as they are advertised. I spent years buying Eminence products thinking I was buying organic and natural products. However, as I did more research, I was shocked and really frustrated that the products I bought over the years may not have been organic. I hope to save others money and similar frustration! ?
